The Bob Jones Homecoming Parade is this Thursday, October 19th starting at 5 pm. MPD will be providing traffic control and security.
Areas impacted will be Hughes Road from Portal Lane to Bob Jones High School at 650 Hughes Road. All side streets along this route will be closed for the parade and reopen as the end of the parade passes them.
Parade line-up is at Portal Lane between Hughes Road and Douglas Street. This area will close at approximately 3:30 pm to prepare for line-up beginning at 4 pm.
All side streets and parking lots along the parade route on Hughes Road will close at 4:45 pm with the parade beginning at 5 pm. Please make alternate travel plans during this time.
Roads should be reopened by 7 pm.
We ask spectators to remain a safe distance from motorized floats for safety.
