Updated 3/31/17: Construction on the Hughes Road overpass is now complete and all lanes are now open to normal traffic.

Updated 2/17/17: Work to reinforce the slopes on the west side of the Hughes Rd overpass is 80% complete. Crews are currently working on the sidewalk & restoring electrical utilities. Paving will commence next week. Weather permitting, the project should be completed within 3 weeks reopening the westernmost southbound lane to normal traffic.

The City of Madison would like to inform residents that as of Monday, January 9th, 2017 work along Hughes Road will begin. There will be work done both north and south of the overpass. We expect this work will take approximately ninety days to complete.
We ask that motorists be aware of this road work and proceed with caution.
