Make plans now to attend the public meeting for the Madison Public Library Expansion and Renovation Project on Thursday, November 14, 6:30 PM at Madison City Hall, 100 Hughes Road.
Madison’s consultant, Providence Associates, will present and describe characteristics of 21st Century Libraries. Citizen participants will be asked for feedback and ideas to be incorporated into the plans and recommendations that will be the end product of the several-month planning effort ending in December.
Residents who check out books and movies at the library, who attend programs such as children’s storytime, and who have ideas about opportunities Madison has to develop the library as a community cultural center will be particularly interested in attending.
The plan is funded by City of Madison as part of Council’s efforts to implement the Madison Growth Plan, and the Grow Madison Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) that is improving roadways, supporting economic development and providing improved community facilities, such as the library, that meet the needs of Madison residents.
