Saturday, September 19th, the Trail of Tears motorcycle ride will be rolling into Madison. Starting at approximately 9 AM, the westbound lanes of Madison Blvd will be closed from Wall Triana Highway to County Line Rd. Riders will be stopping off in the Old Time Pottery parking lot for a couple of hours before continuing their ride. Starting at approximately 11 AM, northbound lanes of County Line Road will be closed from Madison Blvd. to US Highway 72. County Line Rd will reopen as soon as all Trail of Tears riders have left Madison which should be approximately 1 PM or earlier.
Residents going to Palmer Park during the hours of 11 AM and 1 PM should access Palmer Rd. from Sullivan St. All subdivisions on the east side of County Line Rd. are advised to take alternative routes during these times.
The Five Feathers Rally will be held on Friday night, September 18th from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM. It will be located in the Old Time Pottery parking lot. Events such as Motorcycle Rodeo / American Indian MC and
American Indian Drumming and Dancing will occur as well as plenty of food and American Indian Arts and Crafts will be on display. There will be a free concert starting at 8:30 PM.
