[ARCHIVED] Madison Clean Up Day

Begin your community involvement by participating in “Clean Up Madison Day”. The entire community is invited to come together to help our neighboring communities during the clean up from the devastating damage received from the April 27th storms. Clean Up Madison Day is in partnership with the Horizon Elementary Eco-kids and will be held on May 21st from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

The cleanup day is being supported by the City of Madison, Madison Chamber of Commerce, Madison City Schools, local apartment complexes, Madison HOA Network, City civic organizations, churches, and local volunteers. Special thanks and appreciation also goes out to our sponsors Allied Waste, Home Depot, Rocket City Sitters, and Allied Photography.

All participants will meet at Dublin Park no later than 8:00 AM where clean up supplies and specific instructions will be provided. Madison City Schools will be providing transportation to and from the clean up sites.

We are encouraging all to participate in this great event to make our community better. Childcare will be provided for children infant to age 11 at Dublin Park by Rocket City Sitters.

For more information on participating or volunteering, contact City of Madison Volunteer Coordinator Gayle Milam at (256) 772-9300 or gayle.milam@madisonal.gov by Thursday May 19, 2011.
