SWDA announces many more paper products will be accepted in curbside recycling bins. Also, routing changes are being made to ensure greater operational effectiveness in picking up bins on routes. Both changes are effective February 21, 2011.
Expansions -- The curbside recycling program will now include fiberboard (cereal, pasta boxes), all magazines and fliers, cardboard (be sure it fits in the bin), loose paper, stationary, paperback books, copy paper, paper bags (not plastic) and junk mail – in addition to the existing newspapers with all inserts, and glossy magazines.
Route changes – In order to improve service and to accommodate the growth over the past decade, routing changes have been made resulting in service day changes for some residents. Most notably, all of City of Madison residents will be serviced on Wednesdays.
A map will run in area newspapers illustrating the new service days.
