[ARCHIVED] Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Senior Center Expansion

Madison Parks and Recreation welcomes all residents to visit the newly expanded Madison Senior Center on Thursday, January 20th at 10:00 AM. The senior center is located at 1282 Hughes Rd adjacent to Discovery Middle School

The expansion includes an arts and craft Room, safe/multipurpose room, activities/break room, additional ADA accessible men/women's restrooms, a covered patio, and attractive new glass pane doors for all entrances.

The expansion construction was primarily funded through the City's capital improvement program. Additional funding for the expansion was graciously provided by Commissioner Faye Dyer in the amount of $50,000 and Tom Butler in the amount of $5,000.

Activities now provided include a Wii console and games, card tables (card games, puzzle working etc…), gaming table (chess, checkers and backgammon), book cases with a variety of books, and a comfortable,covered outside area to enjoy nature.
