[ARCHIVED] Countyline Road Traffic Adjustments

Mill and Countyline

Good news for our Countyline commuters, the City of Madison has retimed the signal at Madison Blvd and Countyline to give more time to the left turning traffic off I-565. This was made possible by the restriping of Madison Blvd to allow two lanes to make right turns from Madison Blvd to Countyline Road. Currently, our Engineering Department and Public Works staff are diligently working on retiming the Countyline Road signals at Hardiman and Mill for better synchronization and traffic flow. The programing is set up in two spare controllers at Public Works, and they are monitoring them to make sure they are performing as desired before they are installed at the intersections. When those intersections are working efficiently, our team will re-time and coordinate the remaining signals on Countyline Road.

Once Countyline issues are addressed and fixed, Madison Blvd can expect adjustments to ease traffic as well. The goal is to move traffic efficiently on Madison Blvd and Countyline Road so they can handle extra commuters when construction on Sullivan Street and Hughes Road begin.
