The function of the Building Department is to ensure adherence to established residential and commercial building codes, property maintenance codes, and to oversee all administrative processes that support the development, conservation, and aesthetic value of our community. We accomplish this goal via our team of knowledgeable and professional staff who practice accountability, productivity, and take pride in ensuring a greater quality of service for residents and those doing business in Madison. The Building Department consists of three Divisions: Inspections, Permitting, and Code Enforcement.
