Redistricting

Did you know... Redistricting is required by state law when there is a deviation of greater than 10% in the total population between the smallest and largest populated voting districts as compared to the ideal population. City Council has heard from our consultant group, Slaughter & Associates, on whether Madison is in compliance for how we are currently districted with regards to the new 2020 census numbers. No decisions have been formally made for revising the current districts, however, it has been determined that the City of Madison is in need of redistricting.
