The Allison Family
As native Southerners, Jay and Betsy Allison have hospitality in their souls. Whether coaching sports, teaching swimming, volunteering with the PTA and in the classroom, working in children’s ministry, or hosting neighborhood children, they have eagerly opened their hearts and home to serving others. Children John, Mark, Sarah and Paul are thriving in Madison, which Jay and Betsy love for its small town feel with big town conveniences. The children enjoy soccer, basketball, baseball, gymnastics, art, Legos, camping, dancing at Gazebo concerts, tree-climbing, and thinking up new adventures. One of the family’s favorite places for adventure is “Allison Wonderland,” the enormous wooden play structure that Jay and the children have designed and built in their backyard over the years.
The Allison’s family philosophy of “building up” each other and the community by instilling confidence and nurturing relationships comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:11 - Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
