Madison Fire and Rescue requires that all new commercial occupancies, and some residential developments, complete a Site Plan Approval Form (found at the bottom of the Site Plan Checklist). This form requires a hydrant flow test to determine the amount of available water to provide suppression crews in the event of a fire.

This test is conducted by a representative of Madison Fire and Rescue and Madison Utilities. Please call the Fire Marshal's Office at (256) 464-8425 to schedule a test.
