Damian B. Williams began his law enforcement career in 1990 with the Birmingham Police Department as a patrol officer. In 1995, he was transferred to the Detective Division. He worked in the Burglary Unit, the White Collar Crime Unit and spent over five years with the Homicide Division. In May 1996, he was awarded Detective of the Year. In 2002, he was promoted to Sergeant and reassigned to the Patrol Division at Birmingham’s North Precinct.
In October 2006, Sergeant Williams began service with the City of Madison Police Department as a patrol officer. He was recently promoted to Sergeant, and is assigned to the Special Operations Division as the Training Coordinator.
Sergeant Williams holds a Bachelor of Aviation Management from Auburn University, and a Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law. He is also a licensed private pilot.
Sergeant Williams has four beautiful daughters, Audrey, Laryn, Olivia and Margaret.
