Beginning this week, street sweeping will begin on the roadways shown on the attached map. Weather permitting; this street sweeping will be concluded in 2 weeks. We ask that residents of these streets refrain from parking on or placing any items in the roadway between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Trash receptacles should be placed behind the curb for your weekly pick-up.
The street sweeping program is aimed at improving the quality of storm water runoff. The City of Madison would like to remind citizens to keep leaves, grass clippings, trash and fertilizers away from storm drains. Never dump motor oil, chemicals, pet waste, dirty or soapy water, or anything else down a storm drain.
