Make plans now to attend the public meeting for the Madison Parks and Recreation Master Plan on Tuesday, September 24, 6:30 PM at Dublin Park Gymnasium.
Madison’s consultant, KPS Group, Inc., will present findings of recent facility inventory and recreation participation and how the city ranks against nation standards. Citizen participants will be asked for feedback and ideas to be incorporated into the plans and recommendations that will be the end product of the several-month planning effort that began in July.
Residents who participate in sports, who use parks and paths, and who have ideas about opportunities Madison has for future parks and facilities will be particularly interested in attending.
The plan is funded by City Council as part of their efforts to implement the Madison Growth Plan, adopted in 2012, and in order to make strategic decisions about spending on recreational capital improvements that will best meet the needs of Madison residents.
