[ARCHIVED] City of Madison to Host Police Chief Interviews

Police Department

The City of Madison will be conducting Police Chief interviews with the final four candidates on Saturday, May 8th beginning at 8:00 am in our City Council Chambers. These interviews will be conducted by City Council and are open to the public. In spirit of fairness and respect to all candidates, attendees will not be allowed to live stream the interviews. The City will be filming each interview and will have the full video available for all community members to watch on our website and social platforms no later than Monday afternoon, May 10th. To avoid distraction during the interview process, doors to the Council Chamber will be closed once an interview begins. Those wishing to attend may only enter at the beginning or exit at the conclusion of each interview. Also, no questions from the public will be permitted. Media members may request personal interviews in the lobby after each candidate is finished. We ask both members of the public as well as our media partners to observe these courtesies.

***The City's Communications Specialist is working to get the recording of the four Police Chief interviews on our web platforms, however due to technical difficulties the video will be available tomorrow, Tuesday May 11th. We appreciate the hard work and dedication the four candidates put fourth and want to make sure the video reflects their strong interviews. We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this causes.***
