Republic Services' contract with local recycling ends August 1st, including glass recycling drop locations. The Solid Waste Disposal Authority is working diligently to locate a facility that accepts glass in our area.
In an effort to provide alternative solutions to citizens that have historically utilized the drop site, SWDA has reached out to the Alabama Dept. of Environmental Management (ADEM) for a list of registered recyclers in our area and will post this information as soon as it is received. Information for those facilities are listed below.
METALS ONLY –

Beginning August 1, 2019, all RANA residential curbside recycling services will utilize the 95 gallon rolling carts with automated pickup. In order to receive a new cart, residents must Opt-In to the program by either visiting www.recycling-alliance.com or calling RANA at 256-801-2278.
