The Madison Police Department is dedicated to protecting and serving our community to the highest standard attainable. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life of every citizen through professional police services.
In 2019, the Madison Police Department became the 7th municipal police agency in the state to achieve accreditation. The accreditation process supports the City of Madison by providing Madison Police with resources to support continuous improvement through standards that are reviewed annually for compliance by CALEA. Accreditation fosters the pursuit of excellence as well as providing the department with a blueprint that promotes the efficient use of resources and improves the delivery of services.
