In 2019, the Madison Police Department became the 7th municipal police agency in the state to achieve accreditation.  The accreditation process supports the City of Madison by providing Madison Police with resources to support continuous improvement through standards that are reviewed annually for compliance by CALEA.  Accreditation fosters the pursuit of excellence as well as providing the department with a blueprint that promotes the efficient use of resources and improves the delivery of services.

We invite you or your organization to provide a comment in the form of a commendation or concern to CALEA.  The purpose of this public comment portal is to receive comments regarding an agency's compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for continued accreditation.  Please click here to leave a comment.
