Madison Easter 'Egg'stravaganza Drive Thru

Due to the possibility of storms Saturday morning, plus the rain we received on Thursday, the City of Madison Parks and Recreation is now having a Drive-Thru Egg Hunt at Dublin Park! 

On Saturday, March 27, from 9:00AM - 11:00AM (or while supplies last), come by Dublin Park Soccer Concession Stand (in front of Soccer Field #1) to get 1 bag of eggs per child; kids must be present to receive Easter eggs.

Special Needs Drive - Thru Egg Hunt

This event is for individuals with special needs of all ages and the immediate families. Due to COVID-19, this year's event will be a safe, no contact drive-thru. Easter Eggs will be set up throughout the park for you to find! Our Sensory Friendly Easter Bunny will wave at the kids as you drive thru, and a prepackages goodie bag filled with candy and non-candy items will be given / handed to each registered participant through your car window.

Please include your party's name, how many children are participating in your party, and a good contact phone number!

Each child must be registered to receive a goodie bag. Goodie bags are limited to the first 144 children who have registered. If you are not registered, you will not be given a goodie bag. There will be no exceptions.

City of Madison Star Spangled Celebration

The City of Madison Parks and Recreation presents Star Spangled Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 3rd at Dublin Park! The free event will take place from 5:00PM - 9:00PM on Dublin Soccer Field #1. ALL PARKING will be at Bob Jones High School, and a free shuttle service will begin at 4:30PM. Activities of the event include inflatables, live music, food trucks on site, and FIREWORKS!!

Star Spangled Celebration Liberty Toss - Cornhole Tournament

The City of Madison Parks and Recreation presents the Liberty Toss - the 3rd annual Cornhole Tournament, sponsored by GTEC! The double-elimination tournament will take place on Saturday, July 3rd at Dublin Park with a team meeting at 5:00PM and games starting at 5:15PM. 

Teams must consist of two players, and registration is $35.00 per team (includes a shirt for each player). Online registration will close at 20 teams. Register now through June 25!

Polar Express Christmas on Main Tree Decorating Contest

Please join the City of Madison and the Madison Station Historic Preservation Society as we kick off the 2020 Holiday Season. We invite your organization to be a part of the 

7th Annual Madison Station Polar Express Christmas on Main

Trees will be displayed along Main Street in beautiful, historic Downtown Madison. Whether using the tree to express your own creativity or to promote a business, it is a wonderful way to add charm to the holiday. The official lighting of all trees will take place virtually on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Trees will be available to decorate from Friday, November 20 to Friday, November 27. 

All dates subject to change, based on availability of Christmas Trees.

    • For Profit Business/Organizations/etc. - $100.00
    • Non-Profit Organizations - $50.00
  • Awards Presentation - at the Monday, January 11, 2021 City Council Meeting at 6:00pm

2020 City of Madison Cars Under the Stars: A Christmas Movie Event

Come join the City of Madison Parks and Recreation for this family-friendly holiday event! The Madison City Stadium will be transformed to a drive-in movie venue for a movie double-feature on Saturday, December 12. 

  • Gates open at 4:00 PM
  • The Grinch will start at 5:00 PM
  • National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation will start at 7:00 PM (edited, family-friendly version)
  • Food vendors will be on-site.

Admission is FREE with a canned good that will be donated to a local food bank. 

Pre-registration for the event has closed. There will be limited additional parking spots available at the event.
